Why
do I need a Public Adjuster?
If
you have a minor loss and some knowledge of claims handling you may
not need a Public Adjuster, especially if you are being treated
fairly by the Insurance company & their adjuster.
However, when faced with a serious loss you are
often in no mental state to be making any business or financial
decisions. This alone puts you at a great disadvantage. Decisions
you make in the event of a major loss can have a lasting impact on
you and your family and/or business. It only makes sense to seek
professional assistance much as you would in any other (less
serious) situation.
The insurance company adjuster does after all
represent the insurance company! This is what they do for a living
and most are very good at what they do. If you are not aware of
policy coverage and your rights, you will simply be at the mercy of
the company adjuster. You have
other choices.
Many people are clueless as to the amount of
time, effort, and expense involved in properly filing and eventually
settling a serious claim. It often takes months and in some cases
years before final settlement is actually reached.
